GRC Proposes First Annual SyNRGS Symposium :: May 27 - 28, 2008
The objective is to provide an opportunity for the Ontario (and vicinity) community of groundwater contamination and remediation researchers (broadly defined) to share ideas, give feedback to students on their work, and build bridges and collaborative opportunities in an informal setting.
The agenda includes presentations by graduate students and postdocs on their current research, a pre-dinner social event, and a group dinner. We have indications of interest from a wide array of universities including UoT, Waterloo, Guelph, McMaster, U. at Buffalo, McGill, Windsor, Queen's, Carleton, Ottawa, and Cornell. A select number of industry and government representatives are also invited to attend as observers, in order to provide them the opportunity to consider collaborations and to mix and mingle with the students for the benefit of both. In addition, the financial support they are providing is helping us keep the cost of the event low.
