Shaikh Razzak and Rajeeb Gautam receive Ross and Jean Clark Scholarships
The Ross and Jean Clark Scholarships are available to graduate students studying towards MESc and PhD degrees in a topic related to Environmental Engineering. Two awards are available for students who have been registered for at least one year of study and who are continuing until at least Spring 2007.
The Western Engineering Graduate Committee reviewed all nominations and recently awarded Shaikh Razzak and Rajeeb Gautam with Ross and Jean Clark Scholarships.
Shaikh Razzak is currently completing his PhD studies in the Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering under the supervision of Dr. Zhu. Razzak is currently working on a project titled "Hydrodyanamics Study in Gas-Liquid-Solid Three Phase Circulating Fluidized Bed."
Rajeeb Gautam is completing his PhD studies in the Departments of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering and Civil and Environmental Engineering under the supervision of Dr. Bassi (CBE) and Dr. Yanful (CEE). Gautam’s research topic is “Biodegradation of waste polyurethane plastics using bacteria and enzyme."
The Ross and Jean Clark Scholarships are made possible by the generosity of Ross (BESc '46, MEng '75) and Jean (BA '46) Clark to assist graduate students specializing in Environmental Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering at Western.
