Professional Engineers of
Ontario (PEO) Order of Honour Award at the Officer Level
Argyrios (Gerry) Margaritis, faculty member
in the Department of Chemical &
Biochemical Engineering, has been
awarded the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO) Order of Honour
Award at the Officer Level.
Margaritis’ Order of Honour is an honorary society of PEO that pays special tribute to individuals who
have served the engineering profession for many years and whose
sustained leadership has made a substantial contribution to the
operation of the profession, its professional status, or one of the
many specialized functions of the professional association.
The award will be presented at the PEO Order of Honour Awards Dinner
and Induction Ceremony, scheduled for April 16, 2005 at the London
Convention Centre.
“This is the second distinction awarded to Margaritis by PEO,” says
Dean Franco Berruti. “In 1991, he was awarded
the Engineering Medal in Research and Development.”
Berruti adds this very prestigious recognition is proof of
Margaritis’ “outstanding contribution to the profession.”
