Engineering Now .: Volume 4 - Edition 4 .: December 2007 and January 2008
Preview of National Engineering Week 2008
The purpose is to raise public awareness of the importance of engineering and technology in our daily lives and to encourage young people to consider careers in engineering and technology.
This year, we would like to invite you to help make fun and learning come together. We would love to have you as a volunteer workshop facilitator at the drop-in K'NEX construction workshop at your local science centre/children's museum. You and junior innovators six years old and over will be blasting away by creating neat structures using this cool colour-coded building toy. You'll also help guide them through a special K'NEX bridge-building challenge. Workshops will be taking place as listed in the schedule below. We would love to see you there on just one day or everyday of the workshops!
As a workshop facilitator, not only will you get to see the smiling faces and admiring eyes of young students but you will also receive a NEW T-shirt.
