Ross & Jean Clark $1,000 Scholarship recipients announced
The Ross and Jean Clark Scholarships are available to graduate students studying for MESc and PhD's in a topic related to Environmental Engineering.
Zare’s research on the study and improvement of hydraulic structures in relation to the forces placed upon them has been published in numerous academic sources including the 2006 Canadian Society of Civil Engineering (CSCE) conference in Calgary, Alberta, the Canadian Journal of Civil Engineering (CJCE) in October 2007, and the Canadian Conference of Applied Mechanics (CANCAM) in Toronto in 2007. Zare's research is done under the supervision of Dr. R.E. Baddour.
Amirnia’s research topic is the “Hydrodynamics of Small Air Bubbles in Non-Newtonian Aqueous Solutions of Xanthan Gum Biopolymer Produced by Xanthomonas campestris.” His study of Xanthan Gum could have implications in the many processes found in food and chemical, biochemical, and wastewater treatment industries. Amirnia's research is done under the supervision of Dr. A. Margaritis.
Congratulations to both winners.
