A warm welcome to Panagiota Karava
As of July 1st, Panagiota Karava joined the Civil & Environmental Engineering department as an Assistant Professor. Panagiota has been awarded an NSERC University Faculty Award and an NSERC Discovery Grant in the recent competition. Her research areas include building ventilation and building aerodynamics, wind-driven natural ventilation design and the modeling of indoor-outdoor air-exchange and related energy consumption in high-rise buildings. Panagiota is completing her PhD in Building Engineering at Concordia University in Montreal. She received her M.A.Sc. (Building Engineering) from Concordia (2002) and her Diploma in Applied Physics from the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece (2000).
Panagiota will be officially on campus beginning July 2nd. Her office will be located in BLWTL room 123, her phone extension is 84749.
