Professor Amarjeet Bassi named new Associate Dean

Professor Amarjeet Bassi has been announced as the new Associate Dean (Academic) of Western Engineering, effective March 1, 2008 to December 31, 2012.

Professor Bassi is currently the Undergraduate Chair in the Department of Chemical & Biochemical Engineering and, previously, and has served as the Department’s Associate Chair (Graduate) and Acting Chair (2005-06). His administrative experience and work with curriculum planning will benefit Western Engineering as the Faculty moves forward with its ambitious academic plans.

Professor Bassi will assume the duties of Associate Dean (Academic), taking over for Dr. George Knopf, who is currently serving as the Acting Dean of Western Engineering.
