EWB 2005-06 JFID volunteers

EWB Western is happy to announce Sarah Takaki, a Mechanical Engineering Masters student and Ricky Patel, a third-year Integrated Engineering student, have been chosen to travel overseas as EWB volunteers.

Takaki and Patel will work in poverty stricken countries and face the challenge of development first-hand.

"It is great to see two volunteers head overseas this year," says Jason Teixeira, EWB Western President and first Western volunteer to travel overseas. "In one years time we have doubled the number of volunteers we send overseas. This will allow for even more information and expertise to be brought back to Western Engineering."
