Western Engineering and the London Chapter of PEO were delighted to co-host a football reception for engineers at the TD Waterhouse Stadium on Saturday, October 13th, 2007. The event provided a great opportunity for Western Engineering Alumni and local members of PEO to network over lunch. The Western Mustangs played against Toronto’s Varsity Blues and were victorious by a score of 0-7, giving the Blues the record for the longest futility streak in CIS history.
More than 160 professional engineers and their guests attended the event.
After the event Oscar Avila, Chair of the London chapter of the PEO, expressed his thanks to the organizers of the event.
"I was very impressed with the quality of the event and the great turn out. We had a great time with my family, we enjoyed the drinks, the food, the company, a beautiful afternoon and a great Mustang victory," he said. "Again, on behalf of PEO London Chapter I want to thank you and your team for your hospitality and for inviting us to this special event. Please extend my appreciation to Dr. Berruti for making this Western Engineering/PEO partnership possible."
