Administration Information

Dear BME Graduate Students!

Welcome to the 2012-13 academic year! The graduate electronic enrollment period for the Fall 2012 term begins on Monday, August 6, 2012, and allows you to electronically enroll through your Student Center. You will be assigned a random appointment time to enroll. The system will be open from August 6 to September 15th. This deadline will be adhered to, so please plan accordingly as late registrations will NOT be accepted.

The self-enrollment letter provided by the Office of the Registrar, as well as our fall/winter term schedule is attached to this message (and the website has been updated).

Important Enrollment Information

  • If you are NOT taking a course this term, you do not need to follow the enrollment instructions in this email.
  • Please discuss your course enrollment with your immediate supervisor(s) before electronically registering. Enrollment will be verified and approved after the deadline date, and you will be contacted by the BME office if any changes to your enrollment occur (i.e., you are not eligible to enroll in a particular course)
  • If you wish to take a course outside of BME, you must complete the proper form (visit: http://www.eng.uwo.ca/research/biomed/FormsNew.html). Please ensure to return the completed form to the BME Program Office (SEB 2001) with all signatures by September 15th.
  • If you wish to audit a graduate course, please complete the proper form with appropriate signatures and submit to the BME office by September 15th
  • If you wish to drop a course, please discuss with your supervisor first. If you are dropping a course prior to the enrollment deadline, you are able to do so electronically, otherwise you must complete a drop form and submit it to the BME office
    • Courses dropped within one (1) month of the official beginning of the term will not appear on an academic record
    • Courses dropped after the deadline date, but within eight (8) weeks of the beginning of term, will remain on your academic record with the notation WDN
    • Courses dropped after eight (8) weeks from the beginning of term stay on the academic record and are recorded as FAI

IF YOU ARE A NEW STUDENT STARTING IN SEPTEMBER: please contact your supervisor(s) to discuss your course enrollment prior to selecting courses. You must first register and fulfill your admission conditions (if applicable) before you are able to use the online electronic registration system. Your appointment information will be in your Student Center when you log in.
