- Offshore and energy geotechnics
- Buried structures and foundations
- Geotechnical phsycial modelling (1g & centrifuge)
- Static and dynamic laboratory testing of soil
- Constitutive (stress/strain) modelling of soils and structures
- Numerical modelling (finite element, finite difference, discrete element methods)
