My Research Group:
The Dynamic and Sensing Systems Laboratory is the research lab of Dr. Samuel F. Asokanthan, working in the areas of mechanical system dynamics and control. This research has applications in mechanical, aerospace, and biological systems. Some of the recent activities include investigations on Mechanics and Design of Vibratory Angular Rate-sensing and Energy Harvesting Systems, Novel Manufacturing Processes for Cylindrical and Hemispherical Resonators, Dynamic Characterization for metal-based Additive Manufacturing (AM), Bouncing Dynamics of MEM/NEM Switches, Insect Sound and Vibration Sensing, and Magnetic Seizure Therapy (MST) Mechanics.
