Dr. Min Xia joined Western University as an Associate Professor in 2023. He was an Associate Professor in Advanced Manufacturing in the School of Engineering at Lancaster University, United Kingdom. His research interests include intelligent machine condition monitoring, advanced manufacturing process monitoring and optimization, smart sensing, and smart manufacturing. He has led numerous research projects as PI or Co-I funded by Horizon 2020, Innovate UK, NSERC, Mitacs, etc., with total funding of more than $2.7m out of $17m. Dr. Xia has published more than 80 papers in peer-reviewed journals and conferences including top journals in mechatronics and industrial informatics. He was recently ranked in the Top 2% of scientists in the world, based on the impact of their published works. He is a Fellow of Higher Education Academy and a Senior Member of IEEE.
