Application Process and Required Documents

The Faculty of Engineering is aware of the recent announcement from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada related to an intake cap on international student permit applications. We would like to assure applicants to our Master of Engineering (MEng) programs that this does not apply to the MEng program, and that those pursuing master’s and doctoral degrees are not included in the cap. We encourage applicants to regularly consult the IRCC website for updates.

All applications to the MEng program must be completed through Western's electronic graduate admissions application.

To be considered for admission, all MEng applications must include the following information:

  • A completed online application form
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Academic transcript(s) for all post‐secondary schools you have attended
  • Statement of Purpose/Letter of Intent
  • CV/Resume
  • Proof of English Language Proficiency (if applicable)
  • Graduate application fee of $150.00 CAD - this fee is paid at the time of application and no fee waivers are granted
