Occlusive Wound Dressing
Occlusive wound dressing provides a moist environment at the wound site that promotes its healing. Bacterial cellulose wound dressing derived from BC pellicle produced by microbial fermentation in static culture is occlusive. It consists of multiple layers of cellulose nanofiber bundles which prevent opportunistic microbial invasion and allow for both water vapor and gas transmission, all these properties are conducive to better wound healing.
