Research Projects
Ultrasonic Techniques
Ultrasonic techniques offer advantages of online measurement of particles concentrations and phase holdups in multiphase particulate systems. Research teams of Dr. Prakash have developed these techniques for measurements of particles concentrations and size distribution in suspension systems - fluidized and agitated. This technique has strong potential in on-line monitoring and control of particulate suspension reactors as well as processes such as crystallization and precipitation.
Environmental Pollution Control
New solutions have been developed and demonstrated for the problems identified by industry.
- Selective removal of ammonia from aqueous waste
- Selective removal of sulfur compounds from hydrocarbons
