International Participants
All international visitors entering Canada are required to present at the Canadian point of entry a valid passport and - depending on the citizenship - a valid visa issued by a Canadian Consular Official might also be required. More information on the Canadian immigration policies with respect to visitors to Canada is available here. Furthermore, supplementary information on the policies enforced by the Canada Border Services Agency is available here. Please note that all visitors arriving to Canada by air will be required to complete a CBSA declaration card.
Individuals requiring an official letter of invitation in order to obtain a Canadian visa may request one by email at CSME@uwo.ca. Please note that - according to university regulations - the letter of invitation can only be issued if the following prerequisites are met: i) paper or abstract was accepted to CSME-CFDSC Congress 2019; and ii) registration fee was paid. Letters of invitations will not be issued to potential participants who do not meet both conditions.
The issuance of the invitation letter does not imply that any other conference fees or expenses will be assumed by the congress organizers on behalf of the individual requesting the letter. While the processing time for Canadian visa varies broadly among the Canadian consular offices located abroad, we recommend to all CSME-CFDSC Congress 2019 participants who require a visa to enter Canada to apply for it at least 4 months in advance of their intended departure date.
