Engineering Award for Excellence in Research

Paul Charpentier, Professor in the Departments of Chemical & Biochemical Engineering and Mechanical & Materials Engineering is the recipient of the 2023 Engineering Award for Excellence in Research.

Research in the academic setting is one of the defining hallmarks of the University. Western Engineering has many faculty members with outstanding international reputations for their contributions to research. Often these contributions are not fully appreciated outside of the boundaries of the discipline. The Engineering Award for Excellence in Research will provide a way for members of the Engineering community to appreciate and celebrate the research achievements of their most distinguished faculty members.

The Engineering Award for Excellence in Research will consist of a plaque, a certificate and carry a cash award of $500. The prize will be presented at the annual awards banquet.
