Future ENG Conference

What is Future ENG?

Presented in partnership with Hydro One, the Future ENG All-Girls Engineering Conference is a two-day event open to girls in grades 9-12, intended to inspire the next generation of female engineers. Participants will connect with like-minded peers in hands-on workshops, speaker series and panels. There is no cost to attend the event. 

Why is this necessary?

There is a huge gap in the number of female students pursuing engineering and even fewer practicing engineering as a career. Through this conference participants will learn about what high school courses lead to engineering and gain insight into university life and in the workplace. The conference will explore different streams of engineering and possible career paths for each one as well as hear from female engineers currently in these fields.

Engineering is a very diverse field with endless opportunities, and we hope this conference will help you discover a future in engineering you never thought possible!

2022 Future ENG Conference

Western Engineering Outreach is looking forward to welcoming young women in Grades 9-12 to our first Future ENG Conference. Event details will be released in the Spring of 2022.
