Research Interests

Area of Research: Functional imaging, biomedical optics, magnetic resonance imaging

Primary Research: My research is focussed on developing imaging methods for studying brain function under normal and disease conditions. I have a particular interest in near-infrared spectroscopy and magnetic resonance imaging since these modalities are non-invasive and extremely safe. As such, they can be adapted for a variety of applications ranging from functional brain mapping to continuous neuro-monitoring in the intensive care unit.
