Primary Research:Wet chemical synthesis, and physical, chemical and mechanical characterization of biomedical and bioactive glass-ceramics, dental and orthopaedic cements and composite biomaterials; Kinetics of crystallization of biomedical and bioactive glasses; Thin film coating of bioactive glass-ceramics onto metal and ceramic substrates using sol-gel chemistry; Controlled fluoride release from experimental cement and composite biomaterials; Microencapsulation of bioeffectors using sol-gel chemistry
