Primary Research: Production and purification of biopolymers for medical applications, biological production of biodegradable and biocompatible biopolymres, microcellulose, polyglutamic acid, poly(lactic acid, alginate, chitosan, novel methods of manufacturing Nanoparticles using biopolymers, physical and physico-chemical properteis of micro and Nanoparticles, encapsulation of anti-cancer drugs in micro and Nanoparticles for on-site controlled delivery to cancer sites, encapsulation of therapeutic monoclonal antibodies in Nanoparticles for on-site delivery to cancer sites, encapsulation of mammalian cells for pharmaceuticals production, extraction and purification of immunosuppressant drug Cyclosporin A, supercritical extraction of phar m  aceuticals from biological materials, bioprocess and economic feasibility studies for the production and fine purification of high value biopharmaceutical products using cGMP mass transfer of nutrients and oxygen in tissue culture and bioreactor systems.
